TOP TIPS FOR FLYING

If you're jetting off on your holidays soon, don't miss our top in-flight beauty tips.

  1. Packing sunscreen is always our biggest beauty tip - sun damage is the biggest cause of ageing skin, not to mention the risk of skin cancer. So don't forget the suncream. Wear it even if it's cloudy out, especially when in a hot country; you'd be surprised how much sun can get through the clouds and damage your skin.
  2. Flights are terrible for their dry air, so make sure you drink plenty of water (and skip the alcohol - you'll thank us when you don't feel awful as soon as you land)!
  3. Combat the dryness with your skincare products too - you'll need to make sure anything you take onboard the plane is under 100ml if it's a liquid, and you should pack all your products in a clear plastic bag to take through security. Lip balm, moisturiser and a face mist will keep you looking and feeling fresh, no matter how long the flight is.
  4. Dry shampoo can help perk up limp and bedraggled hair, letting you get off the plane looking your best. Just make sure you condition your hair while you're away - a few spritzes of dry shampoo won't do any damage, but sun, sea and swimming pools will certainly take their toll.
  5. And last, but definitely not least, if you can sleep on the plane, you'll be able to start your holiday on a better foot. Of course, it's not easy to sleep on planes, so earplugs and eye masks may be necessary, but everyone needs their beauty sleep!
