How does it work?

Laser hair removal works by targeting hair with a beam of light, which is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair. This then heats the hair, which passes to the hair follicles
and causes them to stop future hair growth.

Is laser hair removal suitable for me?

Unlike older systems that only work on dark hair and pale skin, the Soprano XL can be used on sensitive areas like the face and neck, and intimate areas like the bikini line. It’s also effective on all skin types – even Asian, black and tanned skin.

How long does treatment take?

Sessions take up to an hour, and most people achieve their desired results in 1-6 sessions, though there are lots of factors to take into account – such as how thick and dark the hair is, your ethnic background, and whether you’re using medication. As well as this, laser hair removal can only target follicles that are actively producing hair, so treatment has to be repeated until all follicles have been targeted. 

How painful is the treatment?

Classified Pain-Free, Hair Free^TM, the treatment uses IN-MOTION^TM low-heat settings, making it virtually pain-free. Most compare the sensation to a hot stone massage.

Are there any risks?

You may experience slight skin irritation, such as redness or swelling, but this usually fades in a few hours. Occasionally, there may be slight pigmentation changes, such as lightening of the skin, but this typically happens in those who don’t avoid sun exposure. Is it expensive?
